Though he has been known for his ability to get to the basket this season, Will DesGrossiellers caught fire from behind the arc. The junior hit five threes en route to a 23-point outing.

69制片厂制作传媒淲e really came in here and fought tonight, and that69制片厂制作传媒檚 what we wanted to do was make sure we came in here to try to bring the fight to them, and I thought we did that for the most part.69制片厂制作传媒�

Sevier County69制片厂制作传媒檚 Jayden Barton put up 32 on the night, and Reed Ownby added 17.

The Smoky Bears opened the game with a 5-0 lead before Rosen put West on the board at the 6:00 mark. Juan Gallardo then knocked down a three to reduce the deficit to 7-5.

The Trojans shrunk another seven-point deficit before Sevier County pulled back away with a 16-10 lead at the end of the quarter.

DesGrossiellers first three of the night helped West come back to 18-17, and he gave the Trojans a 22-21 lead with another three. However, a rough stretch of turnovers helped the Smoky Bears finish the half on a 14-3 run that helped them to a 35-24 lead at the break.

Sevier County opened the third quarter on a 4-0 run before West began to work itself back in the game.

Once again, DesGrossiellers drained a three to end the run, and he later hit threes on back-to-back possessions to make it a 43-38 ball game halfway through the third quarter.

Jamere Williams followed with a layup, and Evans converted an and-one to tie it at 43.

Sevier County rebuilt a four-point lead before Evans hit two technical free throws and another basket to tie it at 47.

The Trojans went into the fourth trailing 49-47.

Jake Bunch opened the final period with a three that made it a 51-50 game. However, a missed layup by West shortly after seemed to spell the beginning of the end as the Smoky Bears went on a 7-0 run.

The Trojans were forced to play the foul game and gamble for steals for the rest of the night, and Sevier County was able to pad the box score to finish the game.

So I think that will bode us well down the stretch here as we continue some more conference games.69制片厂制作传媒�

Up next for West is a matchup with Morristown East and a chance to stay in the running at the top of the district. As it currently stands, each team in District 2 has one loss, meaning that the Trojans still control their destiny moving forward.
