Public Works has been working steadily through this snow event and overnight.听 The department's five plows that have focused on emergency routes first, then feeder streets and routes in/out of industrial park areas (as Morristown has a lot of industry that works through events like these).听
Plows are now working their way through neighborhoods which will take a little time.听 Please be patient and if at all possible, stay off the roads.听 If you must get out on the roads, please be extremely cautious and take the shortest possible route to reach a main thoroughfare.
On Friday, the Morristown Police Department activated its inclement weather plan due to snow accumulation and slick conditions on roadways.听 Officers will respond to emergency calls for service and traffic crashes involving injury.听 Motorists involved in crashes in which no one is injured are asked to exchange information at the scene and come to the police department after the weather clears for a police report.
The Morristown Police Department encourages citizens to stay off the roadways unless necessary.听 If you do have to be out, please be cautious when traveling.
