The Cougars built a 16-8 lead at the end of the first period before the Grizzlies got on track and took the lead on a pair of three-pointers by Konner Kinkaid. The two teams swapped baskets in the final three minutes of the first half before Grainger took a 30-29 lead to the locker room at the half. With 4:30 remaining in the third period, the Grizzlies were down only by a basket at 35-33 but after that, the starters netted only seven points the rest of the way before being pulled with a minute and a half remaining in the game.
Carter Williams scored all the points for Grainger in the third period and was the only Grizzly in double figures as he netted 14 points. The Cougars on the other hand had three players finish in double figures as Blayne Jackson scored 24 points, Aiden Baivin finished with 12 points and Peyton White added 10.
