Despite trailing 34-28 at half, the Patriots stalled in the fourth quarter during a loss to Sevier County.
As a result, the Smoky Bears (4-1) took over the top seed in District 2-4A and avenged an earlier loss to the Patriots (3-2).

Jayden Barton led Sevier County with 25 points and Reed Ownby put up 18. The pair combined for 18 as part of a 25-point fourth quarter to put the game on ice.
Jefferson County heads to Morristown East on Friday.

Sevier County and Jefferson County mutually agreed to end the game with two minutes left in the third quarter following a serious injury to a Bearette player.
Sevier County was leading 45-14 at the time of the injury, resulting in a win for the Bearettes.
Aubree Thompson and Cybil Penland led Sevier with 14 and 10 points.
Atty Hartsook led the Lady Patriots with five.
(Boys) (Final/OT) Lakeway 81, Grace 73
The Lakeway Lions rebounded from Tuesday69制片厂制作传媒檚 loss to Providence and took down Grace Christian in overtime, 81-73.
The Lions put up just six points in the fourth quarter after outsourcing Grace 27-14 in the third to allow a Grace comeback.
However, Lakeway outscored Grace 16-8 in overtime to take the win.
Big Ivan Moskalenko put up 26 points on the night including 10 in the first quarter. He was one of four Lions in double figures: Conner Callison (14), Ethan Woolard (13) and Jaleel Ali (11).
Grace was led by a 28-point outburst from Cam Mercer.
The Lions host Tri-Cities on Tuesday.
(Girls) Grace 72, Lakeway 42
The Lakeway girls fell 72-42 on Friday night to Grace Christian.
The Lady Lions struggled on the defensive end in the first half and were outscored 41-21.
Danielle Sawyer led Lakeway with 15 while Kami Wilson finished with 13.
(Boys) Cosby 62, Washburn 53
Three Cosby Eagles finished the game in double figures as they defeated Washburn in a key district contest Friday night, 62-53.
Haiden McMahan poured in a game-high 23 points for the Eagles and we was followed by Ezra Spurgeon69制片厂制作传媒檚 14 points and 11 from Cooper Davis. Washburn was led by Dillon Mullins69制片厂制作传媒 22 points. Matthew Harville added 13 points for the Pirates and Justin Bailey had 12.
(Girls) Cosby 55, Washburn 40
Azariah Spurgeon scored 21 points to led the Cosby Lady Eagles to a 55-40 win over Washburn Friday night on The Hill.
Washburn has been hit hard by the injury bug and needed a player to step up to fill the void and that person on Friday was Taylie Proffitt who scored 13 points. Hannah Williams scored 19 points to lead the Lady Pirates.
