Lincoln Heights Middle School Boys Basketball team competed in the TMSAA Basketball Tournament and placed 3rd overall.
This season, all Hamblen County schools joined TMSAA, giving them a chance at the state tournament. Lincoln Heights are the only Hamblen County middle school team to advance to Sectionals and will have a chance to compete in the State Tournament.
The Patriots finished with a 12-4 mark on the season and used a 6-3 record in district play to capture the fourth seed in the district tournament.
Lincoln Heights opened with a win over 5th-seeded West View before falling in the semifinal to top-seeded Seymour.
However, the Patriots bounced back with a win over 2nd-seeded Clinton to secure a spot at sectionals.
In addition to the team success, Kamani Isom and Caden Jackson earned All-Tournament nods.
The Patriots are coached by Nathan Coffman and Micah Maltba. Isom, Jackson, Trey Sanders, Preston Clowney, Bryson Richey, Tatem Cain Julius Morrison, Danaris Ewing, Patrick Cluesman and Tahj Monroe round out the Lincoln Heights roster.
Sectionals will begin this Saturday in Kingsport with our first game against John Sevier at 10:30.
