Recently, the two schools conducted a toy drive for Food on Foot69制片厂制作传媒檚 Christmas Food Basket distribution during their basketball game held at West View. Thanks to the generosity of the families at both schools, more than 100 pieces of athletic equipment, such as balls, were collected. The schools also gave the items to Food on Foot Founder/President Carolyn Jarnagin and her husband Bobby to put with the boxes this weekend.

Lance Helton, assistant principal at West View, offered his thoughts about the drive.

69制片厂制作传媒淲e had worked with Food on Foot quite a bit before the pandemic,69制片厂制作传媒� Helton said. 69制片厂制作传媒淭here was a need at Food on Foot for athletic equipment and toys. We had very full participation from both our basketball teams and cheerleader. It was pretty much conducted by the girls and boys69制片厂制作传媒� basketball teams.

69制片厂制作传媒淏oth schools have a lot of compassionate students. With our BETA Club and basketball teams, we complete service projects. We work very hard to help others,69制片厂制作传媒� Helton said.

Meanwhile, East Ridge Principal Nick Darnell explained how this year69制片厂制作传媒檚 drive got started.

69制片厂制作传媒淒r. Rebekah Patrick (West View Principal) ran into Carolyn and both agreed to do something this year,69制片厂制作传媒� Darnell said. 69制片厂制作传媒淲e did a joint venture at our basketball game and presented the items to them after the game.69制片厂制作传媒�

Darnell explained that in years past, there was a competition to collect food for the Christmas boxes, but the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 stopped any collections until 2021.

69制片厂制作传媒淭his is something that we69制片厂制作传媒檒l continue to do,69制片厂制作传媒� Darnell said. 69制片厂制作传媒淣ext year, West View will take their collection to us.69制片厂制作传媒�

Carolyn Jarnagin said that the toys will be distributed with the food boxes which will be distributed Saturday.

69制片厂制作传媒淲e69制片厂制作传媒檝e got the toys ready to go,69制片厂制作传媒� she said. 69制片厂制作传媒淭his is going to be the biggest Christmas we69制片厂制作传媒檝e ever had.69制片厂制作传媒�
