The ceremonies had three elements, Cutshaw said. The ceremonies cause Americans to remember, honor and to teach.

Dr. Alpha Alexander, of the Hamblen County Task Force on Diversity, said that a relative of Congressional Medal of Honor Winner Edward Talley helped to lay a wreath on Talley69制片厂制作传媒檚 grate in Bent Creek Cemetery in Whitesburg. Later that afternoon, the ceremonies and wreath layings resumed at Hamblen Memory Gardens on East Andrew Johnson Highway in Morristown here a good section of Cub Scouts and Scouts helped to place wreaths on graves.

There were 86 graves that were decorated at Rock of Ages Cemetery, formerly known as City Cemetery. More than 700 graves at Hamblen Memory Gardens also received wreaths.
