The Hamblen County School District announced the winners of the 2024-25 Teachers of the Year at Tuesday69制片厂制作传媒檚 Hamblen County Board of Education meeting at the Hugh Clement Central Office.
District Teachers of the Year included Manley69制片厂制作传媒檚 Fran Butler in the Kindergarten-Fifth Grade, East Ridge69制片厂制作传媒檚 Leigh Ann Westmoreland in grades six through eight and West High69制片厂制作传媒檚 Sherry Skeen in the grades 9-12 division.
District Novice Teachers of the Year are Lilly Hutson of Fairview-Marguerite in the Kindergarten-Fifth Grade division and Armando Penedo Barragan of Meadowview Middle in the grades six through eight.
Principal of the Year is Eric Helton, of Whitesburg Elementary, whose school received the Rewards School Award from the State for the second year in a row.
Supervisor of the Year is Federal Programs Supervisor Christy Hogan-Young in the Central Office.
The district teachers, principal and supervisor of the year will be entered into statewide competition with winners to be announced later this year.

PreK-Fifth Grade: Nikki Price, fourth grade teacher at Alpha; Natalie Martinez, ESL at Fairview Marguerite; Angela Hartman, first grade teacher at Hillcrest; Jenny Wyatt, librarian at John Hay; Kelley Korody, fifth grade ELA/SS at Lincoln Heights; Fran Butler, kindergarten at Manley; Shanna McGinnis, third grade at Russellville; Mary Alison Helton, first grade at Union Heights; Megan Warren, fifth grade ELA/SS at West Elementary; Taylor Kilby, kindergarten at Whitesburg; and Veronica Hileman, first grade at Witt.
Six through eight: Leigh Ann Westmoreland, sixth grade SS at East Ridge; Ali Carroll, seventh grade ELA at Lincoln Heights; Allison McFall, eighth grade SS at Meadowview; and Hannah Kite, sixth grade ELA at West View.
High School: Gabrielle Wexler, theatre arts at East High; Sherry Skeen, CTE Health Science at West High; Tiffany Templin-Larkin, English at Miller Boyd Alternative School.
