The brunch has been going on for several years with exception of 2020, the year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

LeeAnn Maness, a special education teacher at Morristown East, said that the brunch has become a special event at Christmas time.

69制片厂制作传媒淭hey69制片厂制作传媒檝e always been kind enough to provide an opportunity for all of the special ed kids to get together to have a special event,69制片厂制作传媒� Maness said. 69制片厂制作传媒淭he Knights of Columbus are excellent supporters of both special ed programs at East and West.69制片厂制作传媒�

The fact that Golden Corral has hosted the brunch for the last three years, some of the special education students have been able to work at the restaurant on a weekly basis.

69制片厂制作传媒淓ach week we have about four or five kids who come here to work during a set time,69制片厂制作传媒� Maness said. 69制片厂制作传媒淭hat69制片厂制作传媒檚 a partnership we were able to develop through this brunch.69制片厂制作传媒�

David Lande, who serves as district marshal with the Knights of Columbus, said that the brunch has been going on for several years with it starting at another restaurant before moving to Golden Corral three years ago.

69制片厂制作传媒淭he event picked back up in 2021 and has been going strong since,69制片厂制作传媒� Lande said. 69制片厂制作传媒淲e feel it69制片厂制作传媒檚 a privilege to deal with these kids and their instructors, it gives them a certain amount of panic, but they seem to always enjoy it. Some of the side benefits that come from this, there have been several who have worked here.69制片厂制作传媒�

Both Maness and Lande took time to thank Golden Corral for hosting the brunch and to allowing them a half hour to 45 minutes before they open
