This time of year, we tend to soften our hearts. We tend to pay more attention to the people sleeping on the streets in the cold or wearing socks on their hands instead of gloves. We help those in need more. We gift more. We love more. But isn69制片厂制作传媒檛 that what we should be doing all year? Helping those that can69制片厂制作传媒檛 help themselves.

Christmas is filled with hope, love, peace, and magic. As an adult, I enjoy waking up on Christmas morning just as much as I did when I was a little girl running to see what was left under the tree. Now, it69制片厂制作传媒檚 to see the excitement on Callie69制片厂制作传媒檚 face instead. I sometimes find myself smiling from ear to ear like a mule eating briars while a few tears stream down my face. I69制片厂制作传媒檓 thankful that I get to be in that moment with my kid 69制片厂制作传媒� and never ever want to forget those moments 69制片厂制作传媒� the moments that the Lord blessed me with as her mom.

Ya know, when I think of Christmas; I can69制片厂制作传媒檛 help but wonder why someone as special as the Lord had to be born in a small stable meant for animals69制片厂制作传媒� but then I guess the story wouldn69制片厂制作传媒檛 be as good if He had been born in a mansion or a palace.

Today69制片厂制作传媒檚 recipe is for Pecan Balls. Savana and I will be making them this Saturday and I cannot wait! I69制片厂制作传媒檝e decided this is Ditch the Fork December69制片厂制作传媒� use your hands!

Pecan Balls

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 Tbsp all-purpose flour

戮 cup ground pecans

Stir together and cook over medium heat while stirring continuously for 5 minutes. The mixture will thicken up and become moldable.

Let cool and refrigerate for about 20 minutes.

Using the palm of your hand, roll the dough into in balls (sizing is up to you).

Melt 5 ounces of chocolate (the recipe calls for dark chocolate, but I use milk chocolate). Coat pecan balls in chocolate until completely covered.

Top with a piece of pecan and allow chocolate to harden (you can put them in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes).

Store in an airtight container!
