Welcome back Trojans to this semester69制片厂制作传媒檚 last Trojan Talk! We have reached the finish line of the fall semester! Congratulations to everyone on their hard work and dedication this semester. Students will report back to school Jan. 6, 2025 for the first day of spring semester.
Trojan students have been busy celebrating the season and paying it forward. Our SRO officers and student council sponsored a toy drive, FBLA students filled Santa69制片厂制作传媒檚 sleigh at Central Services, HOSA volunteered at Lifecare, and Beta helped out with Food on Foot.
Seniors make sure to take advantage of scholarships before their deadlines!
Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Scholarship- up to $20,000 scholarship for students entering college in the fall and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students must be involved in high school sports, intramural sports, or community-based sports.
Deadline: Dec 25.
Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Essay- graduating seniors will complete an online application AND either a written essay or video essay. The essay topic must be about an individual that you know personally in your community. You must address how the individual has inspired you and helped you build the confidence you need to achieve your goals.
This scholarship has quarterly deadlines.
Deadline: Dec 31.
The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program- offers college scholarships of up to $40,000 for high school seniors nationwide who showcase leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. Students must have a 3.0 GPA, be a US Citizen, and plan to enroll at an accredited 4-year college or university.
Deadline: Jan 3.
The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship- Any graduating, minority high school senior who shows leadership potential, demonstrates a dedication to community service, demonstrates a record of academic excellence, and presents a financial need is eligible to apply. Visit the website here to apply.

Equal Chance for Education (ECE) Scholarship- this is a last dollar scholarship that provides funding based on financial need and NON-FAFSA eligible immigration status. Visit the website here for more information or to apply.

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest- students in grades 9-12 are eligible to participate. All students must register online. Visit the website here to apply.
Deadline: January 17, 2025
The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program- “A Constitutional Speech Contest” aims to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students. Students in grades 9-12 are eligible to participate. Visit for full contest details.
The Department of Tennessee awards $6,000 each year and the state winner competes for another $25,000 at the national level. Full details and the application can be found in the Counseling Office Google Classroom.

In sports news, varsity girls basketball will play the Landair classic Dec 26-31. Varsity boys basketball will play a tournament Dec 26-31. Jan 3, junior varsity boys, girls varsity, and boys varsity basketball will play a home game against Powell High School.
