Michael Dailey discovered Legacy Trees while enjoying Fulton-Hill Park recently and decided that giving trees to the park where everyone can enjoy them was a fitting way to honor two very special people in his life. So, he donated trees which have been planted along the walking trail near the forest path in Fulton-Hill Park.
Friends gathered to dedicate the trees on Tuesday, October 1.

There are now over 100 Legacy Trees spread over the public parks, properties and greenways of Morristown. They are marked with brown plaques on wooden posts or placed on stones at the base of each tree.
Morristown Tree Board, together with Keep Morristown-Hamblen Beautiful, jointly manage the Legacy Tree Program, which allows donors to place a tree in honor or memory of loved ones.
Trees cost $200, which is tax deductible, and are planted each fall and winter with a custom plaque at the base. Trees are guaranteed for one year, but all Legacy Trees are monitored for health.
