A 2023 Ram Promaster cargo van transporting puppies collided with a car in front of it Sunday night at high speed and flipped over and came to a rest on its tires.
The occupants of the car were reported as uninjured, the driver of the van was ejected and transported to Johnson City Medical Center and the puppies were transported to Morristown Hamblen Humane Society where they are receiving medical treatment and evaluation.

There is a staffy puppy mix that is having a little bit of a neurological issue; our vet is hopeful that it69制片厂制作传媒檚 going to be resolved on its own. There is a larger mixed breed that has broken toes, with a back leg bowed out and a front leg on the same side bowed out.69制片厂制作传媒
Stevenson reported all of the dogs brought in from the transport van appeared to be under six months old.
There is still a dog missing from the scene.
The animals were being transported from various points of origin and on their way to new homes. Shelter staff worked hard overnight and into Monday to make contact with the various owners of the dogs and is in the process of planning for the logistics necessary to send healthy dogs onward.
Stevenson said animal shelter was already strained to capacity, and with these dogs added to the mix and more strays brought in every day, she said the need for fostering and adoption is urgent.
