Hitesman69制片厂制作传媒檚 recruitment journey took shape near the end of his junior year when West head coach Alvin Sanders informed him of schools expressing interest.

One of those schools was Brevard College.

He came into contact with player personnel coach DJ Taylor, who invited him down for a visit.

69制片厂制作传媒淚 went down for a visit and it went well,69制片厂制作传媒� Hitesman said. 69制片厂制作传媒淚 met the o-line coach (Everett Lindsay), and ever since, they69制片厂制作传媒檝e just shown me love, and it just always felt right. For the longest time, I was leaning toward different schools because I didn69制片厂制作传媒檛 really want to go out of state. And what really felt right in my heart was to go (to Brevard) and go play football there because I felt wanted. That69制片厂制作传媒檚 what was most important to me.69制片厂制作传媒�

Now committed and signed to Brevard, Hitesman leaves West High having never missed the playoffs in his four years while displaying growth that extends beyond Burke-Toney Stadium.

69制片厂制作传媒淎idan embodies what we are trying to get done here in this program,69制片厂制作传媒� Sanders said. 69制片厂制作传媒淲hen he came to us and as a freshman, he was unsure of what he wanted to be, lacked confidence just a little bit. But over time, as a coaching staff, as a school, as a team, as a brotherhood, just poured into each other. And now, he69制片厂制作传媒檚 walking out of here as a senior, one of our best football players, one of the guys that you can see the growth in him spiritually. You can see the growth in him physically to where he69制片厂制作传媒檚 a very confident young man right now and ready to take on any challenges that come to him.69制片厂制作传媒�

While football has played a crucial role in Hitesman69制片厂制作传媒檚 life, his time at Morristown West has been about more than just the game. He credits Coach Sanders and the West football program for helping him develop both as a player and as a person.

69制片厂制作传媒淚69制片厂制作传媒檓 extremely grateful for Coach Sanders,69制片厂制作传媒� Hitesman said. 69制片厂制作传媒淗e69制片厂制作传媒檚, again, been so much bigger than football. Of course he69制片厂制作传媒檚 helped me in my craft, and my skill and made me a better player, but just a better man in general. Coach Sanders introduced me to God, and that saved my life. Started going to Arrowhead Church here because of him, because of a team meal we had there one night.

69制片厂制作传媒淎ny life advice, I can go to him for anything. He69制片厂制作传媒檚 like, 69制片厂制作传媒楬ey, man, here69制片厂制作传媒檚 what I69制片厂制作传媒檝e experienced. Here69制片厂制作传媒檚 what I would do,69制片厂制作传媒� or he would just be straight up and be like, 69制片厂制作传媒楬ey, that69制片厂制作传媒檚 not right, or you need to do this.69制片厂制作传媒�69制片厂制作传媒�

69制片厂制作传媒淚t69制片厂制作传媒檚 hard to be who you69制片厂制作传媒檙e called to be,69制片厂制作传媒� Sanders said. 69制片厂制作传媒淛ust the growth from him, too. For him to willingly say, 69制片厂制作传媒業69制片厂制作传媒檓 a man of God.69制片厂制作传媒� For him to say, 69制片厂制作传媒業69制片厂制作传媒檓 going to get it done in the classroom.69制片厂制作传媒� For him to say, 69制片厂制作传媒楥oach I69制片厂制作传媒檓 gonna make this program proud of me69制片厂制作传媒� and go out and do it. I can69制片厂制作传媒檛 say enough about him.69制片厂制作传媒�

On the field, Hitesman and the rest of the offensive line have taken the program to new heights.

Due to their work in the trenches, Morristown West has run for 1,920 yards in each of the past two seasons and 2,007 three years ago.

69制片厂制作传媒淵ou don69制片厂制作传媒檛 know what you got until you till it69制片厂制作传媒檚 not there,69制片厂制作传媒� Sanders said. 69制片厂制作传媒淎nd those five, six guys on the offensive line came in together and laid it on the line and transformed us as an offense. I can69制片厂制作传媒檛 say enough because a lot of times they go unnoticed. They don69制片厂制作传媒檛 get the credit they deserve. Especially guys like Aidan, who is the center, the quarterback of the offense line, and then it goes out from from from Andrew (Victory), to Gavin (Price), to Dathen (Acevedo), to Eden (Rojas). They did a phenomenal job this year taking us to the next level.69制片厂制作传媒�

As he moves on from West High in a few months, Hitesman is looking forward to proving himself at the next level under coach Lindsay, who played in the NFL for 12 years and is now the o-line coach at Brevard.

69制片厂制作传媒淚69制片厂制作传媒檇 love to eventually be All-Conference or an All-American,69制片厂制作传媒� Hitesman said. 69制片厂制作传媒淚 don69制片厂制作传媒檛 expect to come out there and be the guy first year or anything. But I69制片厂制作传媒檓 gonna get to work.69制片厂制作传媒�

Sanders believes that Hitesman69制片厂制作传媒檚 best football is ahead of him.

69制片厂制作传媒淗e69制片厂制作传媒檚 only scratching the surface of what he can be and will be as a football player,69制片厂制作传媒� Sanders said. 69制片厂制作传媒淲hen he came in as a freshman, he had a lot to learn to reach his potential. I think he69制片厂制作传媒檚 finally at that point where he knows he can do it. He has the drive now to go be great. I69制片厂制作传媒檓 looking for him to reach that next level. I69制片厂制作传媒檓 thankful to Brevard College for giving him an opportunity.
