The City of Morristown69制片厂制作传媒檚 Industrial Development Board will receive $4 million for speculative building construction at Lot 10 of the East TN Progress Center. The Progress Center is located at Exit 8 of Interstate 81.

The grants, totaling more than $17 million, are designed to help communities invest in infrastructure and engineering improvements to land economic development projects and achieve Select Tennessee site certification.

The Site Development Grant program is part of the Rural Economic Opportunity Act, which provides funding to improve the economies of Tennessee69制片厂制作传媒檚 rural communities.

The term 69制片厂制作传媒榮peculative construction69制片厂制作传媒 is used to describe a process in which a building project is undertaken with no formal commitment from any end users. According to TNECD specifications, the minimum speculative building size is 100,000 square feet, expandable to 250,000 feet.
69制片厂制作传媒淭his is great news for Morristown to be able to participate in in the spec building program that the state has announced.听 This will help tremendously in our recruitment because we have not been able to receive the attention for an industry that requires a spec building of this size.69制片厂制作传媒 R. Since 2016, TNECD has awarded 191 Site Development Grants across the state, totaling nearly $100 million in assistance to local communities and generating 7,091 new jobs for Tennesseans.

Applications were reviewed by an advisory committee made up of TNECD, Austin Consulting, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Each application was supported by the community69制片厂制作传媒檚 senator and representatives in the Tennessee General Assembly.
