Joan Denton, age 86, of Morristown, went to her heavenly home on January 7 at Regency Assisted Living surrounded by her family.
She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband JP Denton; her parents, John and Mary Wachtel; brothers, Johnny and Phillip Wachtel; son-in-law, Bruce Plum and grand daughter, Kaitlyn Copeland.
She is survived by her daughters, Angie Plum, Charla Bruns (Tim) of Chattanooga, TN, Karen Ward (Frankie) and sister Villa Ray and son Ron Ray(Siv) of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Brooke (Cody) Whitt, Christopher (Arleth) Plum, Cameron Copeland, Samuel Ward and Chloe Ward; great grandchildren, Natanael Plum and Kylynn Whitt. She was a member of Alpha Baptist Church 50+ years.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9th between 11 a.m. 69制片厂制作传媒 1 p.m. at Alder Funeral 69制片厂制作传媒.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Heath Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to in honor of Cameron Copeland, for research and cure for Alexander Disease (End Alexander Disease, P.O. Box 827, Ooltewah, TN 37363).
Many thanks to the entire staff at Regency Assisted Living for loving on our mother so well and the amazing care they gave her.
