The Cafe is hosting a pumpkin decorating contest! All students are invited to participate! You can paint or carve your pumpkin. Pumpkins can be dropped off to any of the cafeteria staff starting now.

Pumpkins will be judged starting Oct 25 and the winner will be announced during lunch on Oct 28. 1st place is a $25 gift card, 2nd place is a $15 gift card, and 3rd place is a free snack for a week.

Remember to keep all entries appropriate and have fun!

Invoices for the next round of computer payments have begun being distributed. If you receive an invoice, payments are due by Nov 1. If you do not receive an invoice, you do not owe any money at this time! Please see Mrs. Creech or Ms. Long in the library if you have any questions.

Nov 1 is the Class of 2025 Tennessee Promise application deadline. Please see Ms. Collins, Niswonger counselor, for more information.

In club news, the next FCCLA meeting will be Monday, Oct 28. It will be right after school in Mrs. Scariano69制片厂制作传媒檚 room, 379. They will discuss service learning projects for November and December. The next Business Club meeting is after school on Monday, Oct 28.

Seniors make sure to take advantage of scholarships before their deadlines!

VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars69制片厂制作传媒� premier scholarship Program since 1947.

Awards are offered on the local, state and national levels. Students compete by writing and recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme. This year69制片厂制作传媒檚 theme is: 69制片厂制作传媒淚s America Today Our Forefathers69制片厂制作传媒� Vision?69制片厂制作传媒�. The scholarship program is open to grades 9 through 12. Student Entry Deadline: Oct 31.

Elk Nation Foundation MVS Scholarship- Each year the Elks National Foundation awards 500 69制片厂制作传媒淢ost Valuable Student Scholarships69制片厂制作传媒�69制片厂制作传媒� ranging from $4,000 a year to $50,000 a year. Any high school senior who is a U.S. citizen may apply for an MVS scholarship. Applications will be judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need. Visit the website for details and access to the application.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation69制片厂制作传媒檚 best four-year colleges and universities.

College Scholars receive up to $55,000 per year, college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to network with the larger JKCF Scholar community.

Deadline: Nov 14.

In sports news, Oct 28, JV football plays against Elizabethton High School in an away game. Oct 31 cross country runs the TSSAA state. Nov 1 Football has an away game against Cocke County High School. Tennis tryouts are Monday Oct. 28 from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. at the Country Club.
