The Lady Trojans hung around for the majority of the night but ran out of gas in a 64-46 loss to No. 5 Sevier County on Thursday night.
Morristown West (14-9) ends its District 2-4A play with a 2-4 clip and will be the No. 3 seed in next weeks tournament.
The Bearettes (23-5) end district play with a perfect 6-0 record and earned the No. 1 seed.
Jhaniya Mitchell finished as the only double-digit scorer with 13 for West. Maddie Simpson and Kalyca Dinkins each had nine while Delaney Weddington added seven.
Sevier County had three in double figures. Kaliyah Burden had 15 while Aubree Thompson and Maggie Townsend added 12 each. Cybil Penland also had nine.

The Trojans played the Bearettes close for the majority of the first half as their press caused some fits early.
Weddington got the scoring started and Simpson followed off a turnover for a quick 4-0 lead. However, Sevier County quickly responded to make it 4-4 with layup from Burden.
Mitchell got her first two buckets of the night with a lay and an and-one as west retook a 9-7 lead. The Bearettes responded with a 7-0 run to take a 14-9 lead, but West was able to close the deficit to 17-15 by the end of the quarter.
The Lady Trojan offense began to struggle as they went scoreless for the first four minutes, but an Aubrie Messer three was able to cut the deficit down to 20-18.
However, the Sevier County offense began to heat up, and it closed the half on a 13-3 run to take a 33-21 margin into the break.
West found some more life to open the third quarter and cut the Bearette lead to 33-27, but a timeout killed the run as the Trojans went scoreless for the final 5:19 of the third quarter.
As a result, Sevier County was able to break the game open and took a 44-27 lead into the final period thanks to an 11-0 run.
A three from Dinkins put the score back to 46-30, but that was the closest the Lady Trojans would come for the remainder of the game as the Bearettes continued to pour it on.
Sevier County followed with a three and later stretched the lead to as many as 24 before West ended the game on an 8-2 run to make the scoreboard a bit prettier.

Despite their 2-4 mark in district play, the Lady Trojans have shown the ability to hang with the district69制片厂制作传媒檚 best teams, giving hope at making some noise in tournament play.
The Lady Trojans hosted Campbell County on Friday night for Senior Night, and it now looks forward to the postseason. West will play No. 2 seed Morristown East to open the district tournament.
