Jaylen King lit up the Samford defense with 268 yards and three touchdowns to go along with his 80 rushing yards on 19 carries. He was dialed in all day with receiver AJ Johnson who finished with 146 yards and two TD69制片厂制作传媒檚.

Bulldogs quarterback Quincy Crittendon also had a productive day as he was 27-of-36 for 306 yards and four touchdowns. The ETSU defense did sack him seven times which resulted in the Alabama visitors having only 13 rushing yards. Samford was also only 2-of-14 on third down attempts.

The Bulldogs seemed to be in control early in third third quarter as they led 28-14 but then it was all Bucs after that. King and Johnson showed their big-play potential as they hooked up for a 75-yard bomb in the third. Ewan Johnson booted through a 23-yard field goal that capped a 13-play drive that took over six minutes off the clock between the two quarters.

ETSU improves to 4-3, 2-1 in the Southern Conference. They will have their bye next Saturday and then travel to take on Wofford on October 26.
