Compassion Church, located at 520 Kidwell Ridge Road in Morristown, is seeking to expand its ministerial opportunities on its 7.5-acre site.
Pastor Travis Mills said that the expansion will be done in phases. The church made available architectural renderings from Studio Four Design of Knoxville. These can also be seen on the church’s website, .

We are willing to do whatever it takes to reach more people for Jesus and聽 provide another Christian School for our children.69制片厂制作传媒
Phase 1 will be a two-story kids69制片厂制作传媒 wing, measuring a total of 8,000-square feet. It will also include a new, larger kitchen, which will measure at least 800-square feet, with an expansion a possibility.
According to Mills, the lower level of the kids69制片厂制作传媒 wing will have an indoor playground, youth sanctuary and kids69制片厂制作传媒 sanctuary. The upper floor of the kids69制片厂制作传媒 wing will have six classrooms. Adding to the current two classrooms, the church is seeking to expand to a K-5 Christian School that will have a capacity of 180 children.
69制片厂制作传媒淲e are also praying for the possibility of doing a daycare at that time, as well,69制片厂制作传媒 Mills said. 69制片厂制作传媒淭he new kitchen will come off the side of our current building at the fellowship hall to have much more space for cooking and serving.69制片厂制作传媒
Phase 2 will be a new two-story lobby and a new sanctuary. The lobby, to measure 2,500 square-feet, will have entrances from the front and the rear. The lower floor will have offi ces, media room, and storage. The upper floor will have a cafe, welcome center, restrooms, and a resource wall.
The new 12,500-square-feet sanctuary will seat 500 people. It will also have a green room for musicians, a聽 media room, a nursing mother69制片厂制作传媒檚 room where they will still be able to view services and a utility room with a washer and dryer.
Mills said that future phases will include items shown on the master property overview.

Future plans will eventually include a walking trail, outdoor amphitheater, a 9,000-square foot gymnasium/food pantry, volleyball court, and outdoor sports field.
Mills said that the church believes in the love and the hope of Jesus, but to do that, the church needs more room to minister to more people.
69制片厂制作传媒淥ur current building is only 5,800-square feet and we are way over capacity,69制片厂制作传媒 he said. 69制片厂制作传媒淥ur Kids69制片厂制作传媒 Church only has two classrooms and two spaces. We69制片厂制作传媒檝e divided with pipe and drapes in our kitchen for 50 or more kids every Sunday, and that69制片厂制作传媒檚 growing. We don69制片厂制作传媒檛 have a kid69制片厂制作传媒檚 sanctuary. We don69制片厂制作传媒檛 have a youth sanctuary or even a classroom for our youth. They69制片厂制作传媒檙e meeting in our kitchen. While we give God praise for what we do have and how He69制片厂制作传媒檚 blessed us, we recognize the dire need to expand. We are believing God for BIG things.69制片厂制作传媒
Mills said that the church doesn69制片厂制作传媒檛 believe that God provided the 7.5-acres of property just for mowing hay and to sit empty.
69制片厂制作传媒淲e believe God gave us this land to use for ministry so we can reach for people and help them,69制片厂制作传媒 he said. 69制片厂制作传媒淲hen we69制片厂制作传媒檙e able to build our school, that69制片厂制作传媒檚 180 kids who can come to Christian School and have a safe, Godly environment with chapel, praise and worship and Bible study while getting their education. When we are able to build our new sanctuary, it will help us to more than double our seating capacity for more people to attend worship services. We will also be able to host youth, women69制片厂制作传媒檚, men69制片厂制作传媒檚, marriage, and ministry conferences. At some point, a gym will not only serve as a place for sports and indoor activities, but for a food pantry, homeless ministry, and many more opportunities to serve our community.
"We don69制片厂制作传媒檛 believe this is too much to ask God for, so we69制片厂制作传媒檙e having big faith in a really big God,69制片厂制作传媒 Mills said. 69制片厂制作传媒淲e know He will provide. Much of the funds are going to have to be raised, so we have begun fundraisers.69制片厂制作传媒

The church is approaching having to do two services each Sunday, but usually do two services on special occasions, such as Easter.
69制片厂制作传媒淕od has been so good to work things out with connections in the community. We69制片厂制作传媒檙e really excited about how things are being lined up,69制片厂制作传媒 Mills said.
