Phyllis Johns Keaton passed away at Regency Memory Care in Morristown, Tennessee on October 12, 2024. Phyllis was born on June 23, 1943, in Tazewell, Tennessee to Joshua (Jot) Johns and Zora Lawson Johns.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wayne Johns.
She is survived by her sons, Steve (Kim) Keaton and Chad (Lisa) Keaton; grandchildren Josh Keaton (Loran), Leah Jones (Caleb), Clay Keaton, and Emily Keaton (fianc茅 Zach Adkisson); great-grandchildren Ella and Ava Begley and Henley Keaton; and several nephews and nieces.
Phyllis worked at Sears and retired from Mahle, both in Morristown. She was a member of Thankful Baptist Church.
Phyllis was an incredible cook, and there was no better seat than at her Thanksgiving table where family devoured her dressing, gravy, deviled eggs, and desserts. She loved gardening and had a dark green thumb. Her irises and zinnias bloomed beautifully each year for all to enjoy. You would also often see her around town sporting one of her pairs of colorful Converse tennis shoes.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Regency Retirement Center & Memory Care, as well as Caris Hospice for their loving care during Phyllis69制片厂制作传媒 sunset years.
The family will receive friends on October 17, 2024, at Alder Funeral 69制片厂制作传媒 in Morristown from 5 -7 PM with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be on October 18, 2024, at Hamblen Memory Gardens in Morristown, Tennessee at 1 p.m. Family and friends will meet at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
