The biggest moment with Girls Inc was getting the Executive Director69制片厂制作传媒檚 job and being with her girls.

69制片厂制作传媒淭hat69制片厂制作传媒檚 always No. 1 on my list,69制片厂制作传媒� she said.

Bender said that there have been a lot of wins for Girls Inc thanks to the support of the community. Among these accomplishments is completion of a mural on the side of the building that faces Morris Boulevard, one of Morristown69制片厂制作传媒檚 busiest thoroughfares. Other accomplishments included surviving the COVID-19 pandemic and getting new buses to use for transportation from area schools to the facility.

The November Celebration Dinner held at Perk Prater Hall at Rose Center for the Arts, was something that only existed in board members69制片厂制作传媒� dreams before Bender came aboard. WATE-TV6 Anchor Lori Tucker was the guest speaker at this year69制片厂制作传媒檚 event.

69制片厂制作传媒淭he board and I have built that event into one they enjoy so much,69制片厂制作传媒� Bender said.

Girls Inc. also has a long history with the Taste of Morristown event every spring.

69制片厂制作传媒淲e couldn69制片厂制作传媒檛 ask for a better restaurant community with food and supplies,69制片厂制作传媒� she said. 69制片厂制作传媒淪omeone new discovers it every year. It69制片厂制作传媒檚 a great way to have a lot of fun and to sample so much food.69制片厂制作传媒�

The last two years, Bender has had a dog named Josie, who the girls have helped at Girls Inc.

69制片厂制作传媒淭hey69制片厂制作传媒檒l miss Josie more than they69制片厂制作传媒檒l miss me,69制片厂制作传媒� Bender said. 69制片厂制作传媒淪he69制片厂制作传媒檚 a pretty popular member at Girls Inc.69制片厂制作传媒�

Bender has hinted at possibly returning with Josie or becoming school or nursing home visitors, for which the girls have brought her toward that goal.

69制片厂制作传媒淭o have accomplished that where you can retire to take a breather and look at the things you69制片厂制作传媒檝e accomplished in my life, we69制片厂制作传媒檒l see what I can accomplish next,69制片厂制作传媒� she said.

She will have plenty of time to possibly get back to two things that she enjoyed before nonprofit work, hiking and gardening. She also hopes to be able to spend time with a sister who lives in Portugal.

Bender said that if people want to see how much their generosity has made a difference, all they need to do is to take a drive by the Girls Inc. Program Center.

69制片厂制作传媒淪tep inside, and you69制片厂制作传媒檒l find a vibrant library brimming with books, Chromebooks and Kindles for the girls to enjoy. You might even catch a glimpse of a Ruff Reader volunteer and her furry companion helping young readers build confidence,69制片厂制作传媒� Bender said. 69制片厂制作传媒淚n our newly designed Makerspace, girls are free to dream, design and create, all thanks to your support. And in the kitchen, new paint, shelving and prep tables make it a place where even more memories will be made.

69制片厂制作传媒淎nd, of course, there69制片厂制作传媒檚 Josie, the scruffy black dog who69制片厂制作传媒檚 been my office companion for the past year,69制片厂制作传媒� Bender said. 69制片厂制作传媒淥ur staff, drivers and the girls have all pitched in to help socialize her and when I leave at the end of the year, she69制片厂制作传媒檒l be ready to begin more training as a therapy visitor.

69制片厂制作传媒淛ust like socializing Josie, it takes a whole community to create the best results for Girls Inc.,69制片厂制作传媒� Bender said.

Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce Director of Investor Services Lauren Seaver worked closely with Bender for eight years. Seaver serves on the Girls Inc. Board of Directors.

69制片厂制作传媒淪he puts her heart and soul over everything she69制片厂制作传媒檚 done for the last eight years,69制片厂制作传媒� Seaver said. 69制片厂制作传媒淪he not only believed in her staff, she invested herself in programs and me personally. She would take mentorship to heart. She grew the events we all know and love, the Taste of Morristown and the Celebration Event in November.

69制片厂制作传媒淪he was with us for eight years, that69制片厂制作传媒檚 a long time. Any time wouldn69制片厂制作传媒檛 be long enough. We69制片厂制作传媒檙e excited to see Girls Inc grow in the new year. She will be missed,69制片厂制作传媒� Seaver said.

Long-time Board of Directors Member Dr. Alpha Alexander is sad to see Bender leave.

69制片厂制作传媒淪he is one of the most ethical and professional staff persons that I69制片厂制作传媒檝e had the pleasure of working with at Girls Inc,69制片厂制作传媒� Alexander said. 69制片厂制作传媒淪he has really been able to get Girls Inc to reach a different level as far as management. With the time she69制片厂制作传媒檚 been there, Girls Inc. in terms of their growth as an organization, she is a role model for the young women.

69制片厂制作传媒淚69制片厂制作传媒檓 very saddened that she is leaving because I69制片厂制作传媒檝e seen her as being an outstanding administrator of one of the most important organizations in Morristown,69制片厂制作传媒� Alexander said.

In making a final request, Bender encouraged people to give to Girls Inc.

69制片厂制作传媒淧lease make one more gift to Girls Inc. this year to help welcome their new executive director in 2025,69制片厂制作传媒� Bender said. 69制片厂制作传媒淗elp me start her year off strong and set her up for success. Thank you for being a part of this amazing journey. It69制片厂制作传媒檚 has truly been an honor to work alongside such a passionate and supportive community.69制片厂制作传媒�

While her era is nearing an end at Girls, Inc, Bender is also looking to the future.

69制片厂制作传媒淲e69制片厂制作传媒檒l hopefully have a new and better vision for the organization in January when a new director is named,69制片厂制作传媒� Bender said. 69制片厂制作传媒淚 hope that we69制片厂制作传媒檝e left things better than we found them.69制片厂制作传媒�
