Scott Dean Bloomquist, age 60, of Mooresburg, TN passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 after a fatal plane crash on his family farm.
Scott, known as the GOAT of Super Dirt Late Model Racing, started his racing career at a young age in California before moving to Tennessee. He was a Hall of Fame Dirt Track Racer with over 600 wins, 9 championships and winning major Dirt Late Model Races throughout the United States.
Scott is survived by his only child, daughter, Ariel Rouse Bloomquist; his parents, Ron and Georgie Bloomquist; his sister, Shelley Bloomquist and Ariels' mother, Katrina Rouse Bloomquist.
A private celebration of life with family and close friends will be held at Witt Baptist Church, Morristown, TN on Saturday, September 14, 2024. The service will be officiated by Dr. Doug Brown.
