Grainger ran the ball 50 times for 390 yards, led by Dawson Fowler69制片厂制作传媒檚 123 yards on 11 carries. Quarterback Ashton Taylor had 89 rushing yards, Luke Davis added 84 and Aiden Dalton finished with 47. Grainger ended the game with 25 first downs. The Black Knights had 140 total rushing yards, with most of those coming in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of hand, and added 144 passing yards.

Taylor got the ball rolling as he zipped a pass to Jackson Richey for a 20-yard touchdown in the first quarter but the extra point failed. On the kickoff, Skylar Davis was off to the races for an 85-yard touchdown and Billy Hahnlan kicked the extra point to give the Black Knights a 7-6 lead. That was the last lead they would enjoy, however, as the rest of the half was all Grizzlies. Grainger scored their next touchdown on a one-yard run by Colton Parrott and Dawson Fowler converted the two-point try.

Chuckey-Doak drove all the way to the Grizz seven yard line but coughed it up and Caleb Arnwine jumped on it at the 11. Down the field the Grizzlies went and Aiden Dalton finished off the drive with an eight-yard TD with Fowler providing the two-pointer. The Grizzlies took advantage of yet another turnover by the Knights as they pieced together a long drive that culminated in Fowler69制片厂制作传媒檚 four-yard rush to the end zone. Dalton plunged in for the two-points to make it a 28-7 lead at the break.

Grainger kept the foot on the pedal to begin the second half as they added two more touchdowns in the third quarter. Taylor took a hard lick and went to the sideline and was replaced temporarily by Parrott who threw one up into the endzone and Brizen Solomon reeled it in for a 29-yard score. With a commanding lead, the Grizzlies were able to get some of the younger players into the game in the fourth quarter and the Black Knights found some success against them. Dominic Hahnlan caught a 57-yard TD pass form Dominique Atchison and later, Atchison added a one-yard scamper to make the final 42-21.
